FEBC
acted as Ian Schrager Hotels’ Client’s Representative in the UK,
performing Project and Cost Management services as well as their
financial accounting, including liaison with the consortium of funding
bank.
The
scheme included the white marble clad Oyster Bar, complete with personal
fishtanks.
The
project consisted of the conversion of an existing 1960’s office block
into a 204 bedroom luxury hotel in the centre of London’s theatreland.
The hotel also included a gymnasium, conference facilities, restaurants
(Asia de Cuba, Tuscan Grill + Oyster bar) and the Light Bar.
The
external façade was replaced so that the rooms have floor to ceiling
windows. Each room has a light box which controls the colour of the room
to suit the guest’s mood.
